Whosoever Believeth

If the survival of souls is a given, is murder such a terrible crime? A family of eight moves into an old house, to find that it's thoroughly haunted. Interacting with the dead changes all of them in various ways. The effect on the youngest children, who already seem to inhabit a world of their own, is the most profound. Their resident ghost was an ordinary woman, by all accounts. All she wants is a child to replace the ones she raised in that house.
