With Moore at Corunna

Here is an action packed book written in the pre-1900’s about the battle between Napoleon and the British. That’s not the actual plot – we don’t want to spoil it for you – but it is the backdrop and plays into the story. Amazingly the book was written over a hundred years ago but the text is easily understandable and the action easy to follow.  The author gives a very detailed accounting and some people have even thought it was non-fiction. The book is fiction but the story is great. The characters are well developed and intriguing and the plot is fast paced but enjoyable. 

Some of the verbiage is confusing because of the period it was written in but not totally confusing. The genre is historical fiction and the text lives up to that standard very well. The period descriptions and the plot fit right into the events that surrounded the time period. The book is a great read and will keep you interested the whole way. It is a interesting storyline and worth reading. With a backdrop of war and the intrigue of well thought out characters the book is a solid offering for anyone. The main character is very likable and easy toassociate with which is a real plus.
