Wizard in the Mist - Crossroads

Magnus and Maggie left Wales, literally on angel's wings. They wake up in New Orleans, Louisiana. Unfamiliar with the new world after one night in a boarding house where they meet Marie Laveau, they investigate the city. A place changed by a recent great fire and a lot of new building. Magnus feels he will fit in well, but then Maggie talks to Marie and isn't so sure. She's uncomfortable with Marie and they are moved to another boarding house, one run by the church.
