For an immortal, life is eternally complicated.

Kellan Faolanni, half-wolf shapeshifter, is a member of a secret society called the Sankhain. When a man is killed by what appears to be a wolf pack, the Sankhain fear this murder may be directed at Kellan, the only shapeshifter in town. The killer is protected, though, by someone high up in the faerie court. Kellan is forbidden from killing him. But how can she make this dangerous man stop killing without taking his life?
