From the hovels of Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in the 1970's  to present day chambers of Congress - lies, murder and blackmail. 


Seattle Defense Attorney Mac Brodie can't say no and it's gotten him, his investigator Seth Ivarsson, and his wife/partner Brooke Fletcher into a world of trouble. This time it's an old friend in need and the trio jump in to help. It's soon apparent they have have stumbled upon an all-powerful enemy with endless means to silence anyone threatening to expose a dirty past. There is no choice but to walk away. A new case  of a torso soon has Seth wondering if he's gone off the deep end when he draws terrifying connections. Mac and Brooke know he's never wrong and it's confirmed when a source surfaces and makes it clear the only mystery now is how the three will die, not if. Seth has a plan, but it's too late.
