As the nineteenth century was coming to a close, the program of Seventh-day Adventist overseas missions was barely a few years older than the young missionary couple bound for service in the Bay Islands off the north coast of Honduras. 

Newlyweds Will and Grace Gosmer looked forward to mission service in a far-off land. With great excitement they sailed toward their new life. But in only a short time tragedy struck, leaving a heartbroken, crushed young man questioning the leading of God.
