Who knows, but this might be the best thing that's happened to me in years. And I thought chocolate croissants were the answer to everything. I was so wrong.
Darren is wanting a change of scenery due to his overbearing mother and sisters so when he is offered a job opportunity in Baker's Creek as the head of neurology by his college friend it's a no-brainer to take the opportunity. The one thing he did not expect was the broody, ex-military brother of his college friend to scramble his brain. Vance is being forced to seek therapy and hates feelings, so when Darren starts making him feel things he gets angry.
There are a fair amount of laugh-out-loud points throughout the book. I enjoyed the tension and flirting between Darren and Vance. I struggled at points to feel the connection between Darren and Vance since there was not a lot of time that they were actually together and most of their relationship and the connection was presumed. Although this can be read as a standalone, I am thinking that it would be a lot better and easier to understand if you read all the books in order. It is a good wrap-up to a series and I can not wait to get updates of the characters in upcoming books.
