A Festival of Finches

From the bestselling and Newbery Honor-winning author of the Vanderbeekers series comes a heartwarming tale of friendship and community, as four friends set out to save a beloved house and end up rescuing an entire neighborhood!

Named for the lifelike finches carved into its exterior, the glorious Finch House is turning one hundred years old! Eli (12), Sutton (11), Pepper (8), and Sonny (6) plan to throw the jewel of the neighborhood and de facto community center the biggest birthday party New York City has ever seen. But their plans come to an abrupt halt when they learn the cherished building has been sold—and worse, the new owner has nefarious intentions, first for Finch House, then for their entire close-knit neighborhood. The scheme goes even deeper than they know, and as they race against the clock to rally their community to preserve all that they hold dear, hidden forces are working against them. All their love and ingenuity may not be enough—but the well-timed assistance of feathered friends may just help them save the day!
