Fear-based Morality is Immorality

There are two kinds of moral systems. There are those that embody sincere beliefs as to how to optimize the human condition. And there are those that embody craven fear of, along with a desire to manipulate, one's fellow mortals. Virtue theory is an example of the first kind of moral system; utilitarianism is an example of the second.
