Pollyanna

"Play the game!" ¶ Darkness turns to light when Pollyanna comes to be raised by her wealthy aunt Polly. Pollyanna's father invented the Glad Game – an optimistic attitude that insists that in every situation there exists something to be glad about. Unleashing this positivity on her aunt, her new friends, and the people of Beldingsville results in the whole town brightening up. Impossible situations become hopeful, and the cantankerous become cheerful. ¶ First published in 1913, Pollyanna has become a staple in classic children's literature.
