What a shame!
My daughter used the paper books to learn to read and loved the bold colorful characters. So I thought I'd use them once again now that my son is old enough. He loves to use the IPad so I thought that would motivate him to learn to read. I downloaded this book and was most disappointed. It is just a direct copy of the paper book along with an audio accompaniment. Unfortunately the book doesn’t fit on the screen. Use it in portrait mode and it’s just unreadable. In landscape you can read it, but it’s very small (for an adult). You can zoom in on the text, but then you can’t see the picture!. It has no extras features that you would expect from the medium upon which it is being published on, e.g. touch a character to hear its name. You can’t even pause the audio!
For potential purchasers I would say: don’t bother! As for the publisher I would ask, why on earth are you publishing such a poor product and spoiling your good name?
