For Adam, much of life revolved around secrets. Who he was. How he came to be.

And the dark, shameful past of his ancestry.

Certain items didn’t add up, though. Inconsistencies. Missing details. Curious emphasis on seemingly irrelevant details for those telling him tales of their flawed and self-serving memories.

It all pointed to something: a hidden influence on the past, an influence that made the future possible, nudging critical events in just the right way, at just the right time. And he finally realized the awful truth.

The hidden influencer was, somehow, impossibly… him.

But he had no idea how he was to provide that service to history, to his own past, to his own existence.

Until one day when fate provided him the opportunity to act. To steer the course of history. To learn the truth of who he was and what he’d come from.
