Calabria - Corigliano-Rossano

Corigliano Rossano is the new city born from the union of the Municipalities of Corigliano Calabro and Rossano Calabro. It is the third largest city in Calabria by number of inhabitants after Reggio Calabria and Catanzaro. It is of Byzantine origin and preserves many churches built by monks and the Codex Purpureus Rossanensis included by UNESCO in the Memory of the World program. The Baraccone area is part of the Man and Biosphere Program (Mab Sila), while the Foce del Crati is a Nature Reserve. It is a center of considerable tourist interest.
