It was in 2019 when it first started, but it became known as C-20, or simply 'The Plague', and the beginning was misleadingly slow, but the world was quickly overcome but he pandemic of 2020.

What no one connected with it, because it was quickly forgotten, was the corona around the sun that was, unusually, seen all over the world right before it began.

It was two epidemiologists, one American ex military, and one South African who, working together, figured out the plague was not of this Earth.

Getting together with two other survivors, a New York National Guard sergeant, and a New York City nurse, and trying o find an antibody cure for it, these four people began to wonder if they were the humans left on Earth, and what exactly would happen to them when the alien progenitors of this devastating plague finally showed up to claim their prize.
