Navy Seabee Jessica Courtland holds the world on her shoulders in a tiny valley next to the mighty Hindu Kush mountain range. She is in charge of the well drillers who bring clean, well water to the five villages that desperately need it to stay alive. SEAL Logan Randall walks into her life and her world changes. Drawn powerfully together, they have to keep their blossoming love under wraps because each has a job to do. Unbeknownst to them, Jessica has become a target and pawn in the war when the Taliban sweep down the mountains.

When Jessica goes missing, Logan is determined to find her and bring her home alive. Despite the life-and-death challenges, he won't give up on her, but it's winter at the top of the mountains.
