European Serial Killers

Some serial killers have taken on an almost mythical identity in the eyes of the public. Jack the Ripper in particular has gathered almost superhuman qualities since his killing spree more than 100 years ago in the Whitechapel district of Victorian London. We still do not know for sure who Jack the Ripper was, but there are at least 27 suspects. The mystery of his identity has meant that his reputation has grown to epic proportions achieving the kind of legendary status that many of his successors longed for, but never realized.
