An unusually vivid dream or a wild hallucination brought on by a severe head injury – those are the only explanations 15-year-old Adaira Linton can come up with to make sense of her current situation. Moments ago, she was enjoying a day-hike in the woods outside of her small town when she saw something that made her question her own reality. A translucent wall of reflective shimmers consumed every inch of forest in front of her.
