'And in this quiet moment as I close my eyes, spent and sated, I think I'm in the eye of the storm. And in spite of all he's said, and what he hasn't said, I don't think I have ever been so happy. . .'
When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana's quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her too - but on his own terms.
Shocked yet thrilled by Grey's singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success - his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family - Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey's secrets and explores her own dark desires.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Did you somehow miss all the buzz around the Fifty Shades trilogy? Add some spice to your reading list and go back to where it all began with the first book in the series. We devoured the story of the passionate new relationship between naive Anastasia Steele and sophisticated billionaire Christian Grey in one sitting. It’s romantic, sexy and more than a shade naughty, something you’ll probably want to read in private.

Fantastic!
I love it!❤️
Publicity fraud
Someone in my book club imposed this read onto us taken by the deceiving publicity made for it. And the author calls herself a writer? Shame on the ones who decided to publish it! If the 1st book is a boring adolescent badly written list of déjà-vu sex episodes with no story to tell, forget about the other two which follow. This proves why you shouldn't believe in what publicity tells you. But you already knew that, right?
Totally unimpressed
I read this because I was curious to see what all the fuss on this book was about, and I have to say I am really not impressed. Just another story about a girl with no desire or ambition in life but to get the boy. Really looks like Bella and Edward in Twilight, but at least that guy had some super-powers and some morality, this guy is just rich and improbable. Dialogues are simply bad. I gave it two stars just because somehow I did manage to read the whole thing.
