“Lucy, I think the Moon Goddess made a mistake. I can’t accept you as my mate. Dark Moon Pack can’t have a weak Luna, and you’ve never been able to defend yourself. The pack won’t accept you. The female Alpha needs to be strong, and that takes years of training.”

“I can train. I can become stronger!” I said, tears running down my face.

“I’ve waited seven years to find my mate. Now that I know you are unfit to be Luna, I need to select a strong she-wolf for the pack. A weak Luna makes us all weak, and we can’t risk that. I will not banish you, Lucy. My wolf will not allow that.”
