Into the Mist

Malaya, 1941. Francesca "Frankie" Catanese is a young Sicilian-American woman who left her small town outside New York to see the world.

She's working as a temporary Red Cross orderly in the rural jungle of northern Malaya when a chance encounter brings her face to face with Jack Martin, a daring American stunt pilot volunteering for the Royal Air Force.

Joining her in the jungle is a team of archaeologists, led and funded by Lord Tarr, an exacting English aristocrat determined to find a talisman thought lost to history, buried somewhere in a rumored ancient cemetery.

But as war looms and secrets are revealed, Frankie learns those around her are as treacherous as the ground beneath her feet.
