Jamila’s Thread & Other Stories is a collection of folk stories from the Middle East and Sudan, adapted by project pen. Some of the stories are familiar. Others are included here in written form, for the first time in a long time.


In these pages you will read stories of cruelty and love, envy and magic, darkness and cunning; of ogres that transform into little girls, a grey mouse who learns to love, and a boy that becomes a humming bird.
