I consider myself a smart, independent woman. I have a job I love and a roommate who gets me. I don't need much else in life. And what I do need takes batteries.

I was tricked into a blind date with my co-worker's nephew.  Sure, Cooper was cute. I possibly would've said yes had he asked me out under different circumstances, but he didn't ask me out; his aunt did. I don't date my friend's family. Well, I didn't before tonight.

I know I should take more chances in life, but this wasn't supposed to be one of them. This was a favor. This wasn't a date. And sex never should've been an option.

My career has always been my priority. Since I had to move back home and start over with a new job, it's even more important to put in the time and prove myself.

People may surround me all day, but they aren't here for me. The employees show up to collect their paychecks. The women show up to be spoiled. Either way, it's all for money.

Riley was different. I couldn't find an ulterior motive when she was around me. She was straightforward, down-to-earth, and could ride me like no one else. I know it started out as a fling, but I want more from her.
