Life on Main Street

"When I was young I never knew that walking down Main Street would feel so much like home-for the rest of my life." Each time I come back to visit my parents home on Main Street it's as though I'm on hallowed grounds Times have changed, businesses have changed hands, new shops & eateries emerged. Yet this small town remains sweet with history and memories of growing up in the 1950's & 60's People who owned businesses lived in town either in the same building or just a few doors away This book fondly recalls the community and culture of Allentown New Jersey in the 50's and 60's through the eyes of a girl born in Dr. Farmers' small town hospital in 1951. From attending first grade in a local church because there was no room in the school building, to sitting on the front porch watching the hot cars drive through town in the 60's...these are times worth remembering.
