In a small apartment in coastal Tunisia, a cat named Loki watches the world through iron bars while the city breathes around her — prayer calls at dusk, storms rolling in from the sea, stray cats moving across sun-warmed walls, and a human woman trying to hold together a life that keeps threatening to come apart.
