I loved my firebird very much, didn't want to be without him and wanted to wake up next to him each morning for the rest of forever, but when he was trying to be mean like this, albeit lovingly mean, I wanted to pinch him.

In Soyer, Amory has found something he didn't even know he wanted. He's beginning to understand what love means, and how deep his feelings for Soyer run.

After Soyer saved him from the witch, Amory scares easily, even if there isn't much to be afraid of in their shared life of domestic bliss and running the Moonlight Diner. Yet, things always change, and Amory has to learn how to adapt.

But the past won't leave Soyer, Amory, and their found family alone quite yet, and for phoenix lovers such as these two, there is no stepping back, no pulling apart. If they don't have each other, they have nothing.
