Orderly Book of Lieut. Gen. John Burgoyne

This compilation of General Burgoyne's own orderly book from his campaign through Canada and New York includes a biographical sketch of the General, as well as documents relating to the convention to which he agreed at his surrender on October 17, 1777. General Burgoyne was forced to surrender with an army of nearly 6,000 men after two battles near Saratoga, New York.
