Portsmouth College

Portsmouth College is a Sixth Form College on the South Coast of England and has around 1400 students between 16-19 years old from the city schools and increasingly from further afield. The curriculum offer aims to provide an appropriate and aspirational curriculum for our community. 


Our journey to become an Apple Distinguished School began in 2014 when we launched our 1-to-1 iPad scheme. 


The aim was to increase the learning aspect of teaching and learning driven by the longer lessons we introduced. We wanted to create opportunities that would encourage and support creativity, curiosity and engagement giving students exciting and different ways of learning to make the most of the extended lessons. 


Our staff are now teaching in innovative and engaging ways to ensure that students are academically successful, have excellent digital literacy skills and are prepared for life after College.
