Wilhelm Georg Friedrich Roscher was a German economist from Hanover. He studied jurisprudence and philosophy at the universities of Gottingen and Berlin. He was a member of Corps Hannovera. He is among the first people who “invented” the political economy. He tried to establish the laws of the development of economy, using the historical method from the investigation of histories political, legal, cultural, and other aspects.
Although he started his work on the history of economy and the historical method, his magnum opus was this book, through which the author shows his enormous knowledge about the history of economy.
