Tangled Autumn

She wanted a complete break

Sappha Devenish jumped at the chance of a job in Scotland after her romance with Andrew went wrong. Resigning her surgical ward at Greggs’ seemed the only escape from London gossip.

Caring for his convalescent mother in remote Dialach offered welcome refuge, though the dry mockery of the formidable Dutch physician proved quite another matter. Surrounded by sombre Highland rain, she found the towering doctor impossible to ignore.

The change in scenery took Sappha’s mind off her heartbreak, and the presence of the often infuriating but very attractive Dr. van Duyren was also a nice distraction…. But with Andrew’s unexpected return, Sappha found herself entangled in the past once more! When Andrew arrived at the village inn pleading for a second chance, she had to choose between an old comfort and the aristocratic Dutchman she could not forget.
