The Leopard is a novel by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa that narrates the transformations that took place in the life and society of Sicily during the Risorgimento, from the moment of the transition from the Bourbon Kingdom to the unification of the Kingdom of Italy, which followed Garibaldi's Expedition of the Thousand.
