The novel fits a “futuristic” Science Fiction genre. However, it is also musing on the nature of human beings and human cognition; people remain essentially unchanged in the way they understand their world. The world in the future is, as now, driven by that need for some understanding or ourselves and our place in the world. There is also the persistent desire for progress in human constructs. It seems likely that future societies and cultures will continue be dominated by the sciences with persistent influence from such areas as the aesthetic and spiritual nature of the species. The novel follows a man in his journey through a future world with the influence of technology, art, and spirituality.
