After a harrowing end to her last relationship, Lila Norris swore off men. A strong desire to start over landed her in Dallas Texas, and a new job with Donovan Security. Lila thought she found happiness again, until she met the co-owner of the firm, Drake Donovan.

Drake, the ultimate alpha male, was single by choice. He avoided any semblance of a relationship, only casually hooking up with women who knew the drill, until he met Lila. Drake instantly desired Lila, but knew he had to stay away.
