The Twins and the Mouse Plague

Beschreibung des Verlags

Samantha and Luke were twins and live on a farm. They ask their Dad and Grandmother about the mouse plagues of the past and the damage such little creatures can do. They learn about what conditions lead to mice plagues and how they can be managed. Luke soon learns that it is better to keep his pet mouse in a cage and not to let it wander.

In 2015, the Feral Animals Enviro-Stories program provided kids from central New South Wales, Australia, with the opportunity to write and illustrate stories about feral animals and their impacts on both biodiversity and agriculture. Schools were supported by technical staff from local organisations to help them learn about their feral animals. This project has resulted in ten books being published, printed and distributed as well as interactive books developed. This book was prepared by students from Euchareena Public School with support from Central Tablelands Local Land Services and Invasive Animals CRC.
