I love dogs, but I'm not sure how I ended up dog-sitting for an ex. Not any old ex either. Jake is…special. That's okay. I'm over him. It's been a long time. We can be friends. I think. I just wish I could shake the feeling that the man I swore was the wrong one for me is more perfect than ever. 

And did I mention he has a dog? I'm in trouble.

Leave it to Mack to do the impossible. Yep, my amazing Lab somehow convinced my secret high school love to agree to watch him while I'm on duty at the fire department. I'm no fool. This is the perfect opportunity to right a few wrongs, and if possible, convince the coolest, most fabulous man I've ever met to give me a second chance.
