When the two women came down from the sky and told Berto he was a prime candidate for recruitment into a galactic war he found it hard to believe. At least… until his cousin was murdered by a Syndroid.

Now all he wants is revenge. And to get that, he needs to become a knight in the Chevalier Sanctorum which means passing the grueling recruitment training. Pilot maneuvers, weapons drills, war games, physical exercise—Berto expects it will be tough.

What he doesn't expect is to be accused of being an unwitting Syndroid spy.

With the war at a tipping point, Berto must prove he can fight and integrate with the other recruits—hard to do when you're branded a Syndroid agent. But more importantly he must prove to the Chevalier Sanctorum and to himself that he can be trusted.
