War! What is it good for‪?‬

In XP School, Doncaster, UK, in Autumn 2017 the Class of 22 year 9 expedition was called War! What is it good for? This was a joint expedition between the Humanities and STEM team, covering History, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Statistics. Students had to answer the guiding question:

“How has conflict shaped our world?” 


During the expedition students studied War of the Worlds by HG Wells, World War one, War poems and interviewed refugees.


The students then produced articles and artwork based on the refugees stories. These appear in this book.
