When Rosina Ali, an Afghan refugee, accepted the invitation of the Home Security Team to be the bait for trapping a gang of people-trafficking modern-day slavers, she had no idea she would end up in the same Norfolk woods as a deluded ex Royal Marine determined to avenge the death of his wife during Covid. A fatality in the woods sparks further investigation into other names on the Wish Dead List. It is now a race to save the life of the Prime Minister, on the one hand, or assassinate him, on the other.
John Wells is the man with a personal vendetta against everyone from the local GP’s receptionist through to the Prime Minister, having taken inspiration from the killer of the only British PM, Spencer Percival in 1812, to be assassinated whilst in office. Will he become the modern-day John Bellingham?
