Discover God's Intention for the Church as His Body.

With timeless truths from the Bible, let Ray Stedman reintroduce you to church as it was meant to be—a close, caring community empowered to love God and others.

This newly updated edition of Body Life, now with New International Version Bible text, unpacks the real meaning and mission of the church and the world-changing role of each member—including you. Stedman equips a new generation of Christians to be the true church: a dynamic, living, Spirit-filled body.

Together, Christians can learn to practice deep fellowship—carrying one another's burdens, sharing one another's hurts, confessing to one another, rejoicing with one another, encouraging one another. Be empowered to develop your spiritual gifts and celebrate the diversity of abilities within your church community while maintaining the unity of the Spirit.

"Ray C. Stedman, eager to share [his church's] blessings with other groups, has given us a how-to book which shows us how the church can relate to community life in a meaningful, satisfactory, and redeeming manner." —Billy Graham

Ray C. Stedman (1917–1992) was one of the great pastors, expositors, and spiritual leaders of the twentieth century. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, he was pastor of Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto, California, for forty years. Stedman wrote over twenty books with a million copies in distribution. His book Body Life had a tremendous impact on the church in the twentieth century.
