In 2025, Maeve Canfield, while clearing her mother’s house following her death, discovers a hidden cardboard box which contained a journal and other papers.
In 1985, a late night phone call to journalist Patrick Cahill set in motion a search would push Cahill into a murky world of betrayals and uncertainty.
As Maeve sought to discover who Cahill was and what his relationship with her mother might have been, Cahill investigated the death of Harlan Thompson and why he was killed. Their two worlds would come together forty years later.
