Shortly after graduating with a degree in Nursing, Chloe meets a wealthy businessman who sweeps her off her feet and convinces her to give up working. But being the wife of a wealthy man is no substitute for the fulfilment she found as a nurse. Alone and unhappy, she becomes disillusioned and when her husband dies, her life spirals out of control.
