Caine, her bodyguard and a reformed drug dealer, knows he should stay away from her, but innocent Cassie tumbles into his bed and he can't resist. Despite the continuing threat of her abduction, Cassie rashly runs away from Caine in order to save him. Not surprisingly, both are eventually captured, resulting in a teamup of familiar characters to defeat the Dark Lord. The resolution of plots from previous books will please fans, but newer readers may want to start with earlier titles.
