As veterinarians Mac and Jo investigate a mysterious condition involving their poultry patients on longtime client Tilly's farm, they find themselves locked in opposing opinions, which creates a challenge between them as to whose treatment is correct. Is this the first major test of their partnership?

As if that isn't enough to deal with, Mac's least-favorite patient is taking a holiday and insists on having her beloved pet boarded at the Furry Friends Surgery. And tried-and-true office manager Rowena is finally taking a holiday of her own—despite Mac's insistence that all will be well, the surgery's computer system defies the technology skills of everyone from Mac to Farlane.
