Descripción editorial

Fly Caribou is a story about the men and women who designed and built the de Havilland Caribou. An airplane that saved the North American defenses against Russian ICBM's during the cold war, yet almost drove the company into bankruptcy. The Caribou was built to US Army specifications, taken over by the USAF, in a political move when airplanes were considered obsolete, who never fully appreciated the machine's performance. The Royal Australian Air Force retired their last Caribou with the honor that the machine deserved.. .The characters in the story are imaginary, but the Caribou crash and exploits are based on known facts. It is a story of immediate post war Toronto when the city was struggling to house a growing population. It is a story of ordinary men and women struggling with the problems of daily life.
