Lucius

Lucius Traxler had no complaints in his life. As an electrical engineer and a man who owned his own business, life was lived on his terms, and he wouldn't want it any other way. Happily single, he had no desire to get serious with anyone, even though his sister and his friends were all about domestic bliss these days. In fact, his life really couldn't be more perfect.

So, he's not prepared when he's hit with tragic news, making him the guardian of the sweetest little girl ever. Nevertheless, never one to back down from a challenge, he's more than willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that he's the best father to ever walk the planet, even though he can't weave a braid to save his life. Oh, and he tries…how the poor man tries.

Morgan

Morgan James had no desire to let life get her down. As a beautician with her own salon, she made her own rules, and that's how she liked it. She also had the two best friends that a girl could ever have, and she was always down for a girls' night or to cast a spell on a cheating jerk, and she was also down with babysitting her friends' kids, even if she didn't have any of her own.

So, she's not prepared when she ends up having to save the day, putting her braiding skills to work, saving a little girl from looking a hot mess. Yeah, she was getting some electrical work out of the deal, but she'd been more than willing to pay full price for that. After all, if there was one thing that she never did, it was taking advantage of anyone, let alone hard-working people.

When you underestimate the wrong person…

Determined not to make a fool of himself, Lucius refuses to be the dad who doesn't know how to braid his daughter's hair. So, since she owns her own salon, it's a given to ask Morgan James for her help, even if his intentions are a little more x-rated than he's letting on.

Determined not to break a little girl's heart, Morgan is more than ready and willing to step up and help Lucius Traxler with his daughter's fashion goals. So, all-in-all, scratching each other's back seems easy enough, even if she finds his dimples a little bit too much to resist.

As Lucius and Morgan move forward with honoring their prid pro quo situation, things get complicated when Lucius freaks out, being a new father driving him insane. Though reasonable when you considered the circumstances, unfortunately for him, he freaks out on the wrong woman.
