Young studio assistants and hangers-on troll the backstreets and back rooms of Los Angeles's trendiest neighborhoods looking for their next deal, their next sex partner, the next opportunity to make it big. Across town and in the office next door, studio executives, agents and producers weave a conspiracy of gossip, lies and publicity to sell their wares, fool the public and hide their deeds and desires from the glare of day. In the shadows of the sun-soaked palm-lined City of the Angels, all bets are off and everything's for sale.
