Ema and Upton are young lovers who are in a new stage in their relationship after going from being flat broke to starting a thriving business. Their child is at grandparents for the weekend, so Upton decides to surprise his wife and whisk her off to a weekend trip at the lake. 

This road trip leads Ema and Upton down memory lane, and in a twist of fate, they're led to a mysteriously seedy motel seeking shelter from a storm. In this first story in the Roadside Inn series, we explore the moment these two lovers fell in love and descend into the mysterious Roadside Inn motel that could threaten to tear them apart forever...
