The Five Red Herrings

When an artist is found dead in a remote Scottish village, what first appears to be an accident quickly becomes a carefully concealed murder. Lord Peter Wimsey is called upon to investigate a case surrounded by conflicting evidence and a baffling series of movements.
Six suspects each have their own stories to tell, and each seems to have a convincing explanation for where they were when the crime occurred. As Wimsey reconstructs the movements of the suspects, the mystery becomes a puzzle of trains, timetables, distances, and carefully calculated alibis.
