Chapter 3 introduces us to the characters of John the Baptist, and the now grown-up Jesus, and the role that John the Baptist would play in relation to Jesus. This is also the chapter where John baptises Jesus, and the Spirit of God falls upon Jesus like a dove, and a voice comes from heaven declaring how much God loves Jesus.
