Williams was born a black child in the 60s to a suicidal mother with demons and addictions that would pursue her for most of her life. She was considered a special childa child born with a purpose and, as some would suggest, born differently than most. She was born with a caul better known as a veil over her face and head. Her mothers severe mood swings and a preoccupation with dying caused her to develop her own real physical body ailments, mood swings, and bouts with depression. She found herself running and hiding from her own demons. Her life was filled with distrust, sexual perversions, and self-destruction from early childhood and adulthood. This memoir chronicles how, amid all the tribulations, the author managed to face life with positivity and emerged victorious.
