Descripción editorial

This is the story of those men and women who have not been mentioned in official history and have questioned themselves about their own place in war.

There are no heroes in this novel, all there is are men and women with their little gestures that enable you to touch and feel the horrors of war with your bare hands. They are soldiers, hookers, guerrilleros or priests: characters in a big picture where, in the end, everyone loses.

Published originally in spanish as 'La mujer de los condenados', the novel was finalist in the novel national prize of IDCT, Bogotá. This translation was made by Australian Kieran Tapsell.

    Guerrilla war fiction

Kieran Tapsell, Australian, has made an excellent translation of a novel about guerrilla war in Colombia. Javier Correa, the author, wrote a beautiful story around the lives of a prostitute, a lieutenant and the guerrillas. It is a drama, a romance and a testimonial at the same time.
